Whittlesea Secondary Indigenous Mural

People Involved

This mural is proudly displayed in Whittlesea Secondary College as a permanent reminder of past, present and future Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and families connected with the school. It is located in prominent position inside the school, near the main entrance.

Whittlesea Secondary College community joins with Baseline for Young People - City of Whittlesea to recognise the rich Aboriginal heritage of the region and acknowledge the Wurundjeri Willum Clan of the Kulin nations as the traditional custodians of this land.

Created by Whittlesea’s Indigenous students, this mural depicts Waa the Crow and Bunjil the Eagle with an Aboriginal boy playing his didgeridoo to tell the stories of four journeys, each journey streaming from his didgeridoo.
